[sdiy] New to the list & Wasp Question

Well, I'm new to the list (thanks Juergen).  I have a (very small)
collection thus far - A Roland JX-3p and a Roland TR-77. Seems I need to
get/make some more :)

I have a desire to build an EDP Wasp. However, I have the following
question. Since the Wasp is just made up of a few sections, can I
replace the oscillators, envelope generators, etc., with 'generic'
equivalent ones and get about the same sound (assuming I keep the filter
section)?
