Argh - sixth time I'm sending this email - thought this whole time that
the list server must be malfuntioning, but it turns out it was just me
being stupid and sending from the wrong address. :) Let's try this one
more time...
Hey folks,
I'm modding my Simmons SDS-800, hopefully adding a secondary decay
envelope to the kickdrum. I've tried just using the envelope from one
of the other voices (tom2, in this case), and it doesn't look like I can
do that without significantly modifying the envelope circuit, rendering
tom2 unusable.
I understand that a simple decay-only envelope generator is a matter of
a few resistors, a pot, a capacitor, and an op-amp - but I don't know
nearly enough electronics theory to design such a circuit myself. Can
someone point me to a simple schematic that fits my need?
(I'd be looking at a more complex project, but I live in Costa Rica,
and as far as I can tell, the only place to buy components is Radio
Shack - so I have to stress, a *simple* circuit! :)
Thanks in advance,
Cheers,
- Drew.
PS: if it comes into question, the schematics for the SDS-800 are
available at http://riotnrrd.com/mux/sds800...
