Now which one? The ESQ has two of these custom beasts. One is driving the
display and scanning buttons (aka display/panel processor), the other one
cares for keyboard and foot switches (keyboard processor).
For the first one I'm currently developing an AVR-based replacement. The
latter one I'm pretty convinced contains nothing more than what's printed
in the Chamberlin bible - together with some translation stuff to make it
look more Ensoniq.
If you want to hack yourself let me know and I'll send you the
display/panel and keyboard protocol.
