I might be wrong (since I dunno the equations he used), but if
he uses the difference in phase and amplitude, these will not be entirely
due to the inductance, but partly due to the coils copper resistance.
(This is on the assumption that he determines lead or lag to differenciate
between caps an inductors, and uses solely the amplitude difference for
the impedance.)
