[sdiy] Tube Circuits - App notes ?

Hi Michael,

A couple of years ago a friend lent me his tube caddy and he said that since
he had two books he would give me one of them. It was the "RCA Receiving
Tube Manual RC-19" and after reading it a couple of times I realized that
all those databooks from National and everybody else were merely a
continuation of the tradition established by these old tube databooks. There
are basic circuits for all the fundamental building blocks as well as
schematics for radios and audio amps. It's great. You can find them on ebay
if you want. Do a search on "rca receiving".

Best Regards,

- Gene

Subject: [sdiy] Tube Circuits - App notes ?

Hello friends,

from semiconductor manufacturers i know that there are plenty of application
notes that show how to use e.g. Opamps for everything one could imagine.

But i am looking to find something similar for tubes. All schematics i see
are audio
or RF amplifiers, guitar amps etc. But how do i make basic circuits (for a
synth or
analog computer) like comparators, logic gates, oscillators, filters, etc. ?

Can anybody suggest a book or online resource ?
