[sdiy] theremin building

Hi Folks,

I want to build a theremin with pitch and volume control. I have found a 
few schematics on the internet and the 144 theremin seems a good choice. 
Does anyone have any experience in building/using this? And are the parts 
easy to obtian in Europe? Especially the inductors...
