It has been a long time...but...
As I remember, the TMS2516 is identical (i.e. it is programmed the
same way) as the i2716. However, the TMS2716 is not...It was all pretty
bizzare. I designed an Eprom programmer about 20 years ago, and I
remember the problems with people getting so confused because TI used
different pinouts for the 2716 from Intel. So, it really depends a lot
on which type of 2716 the circuit was designed to use.
