Folks,
A friend of mine just called, he picked up an Arp Odessey for peanuts
because it was DOA. It's past owner was not sure of the cause, it just
stopped working one fine day.
Thing is...nothing lights up, as if....
A FUSE HAS BLOWN or something.
So, my friend popped the hood and found the fuse on the PCBA, has a question
of the value is required. He says it's not marked on his PCBA. I figured a
1 amp would work, but I thought I would put it out here for you guys.
My buddy is an accomplished musician, not a gearhead. He doesn't own a
voltmeter to check the fuse. I'm just going to send him by a Radio Shack to
pick one up. He's 200 from me or I would find all this out myself.
Anyone know what fuse value?
Now, if it isn't the fuse, and remember...nothing lights up, I would assume
the bridge rectifier bit the dust next.
Fair conclusion?
Anyone ever have an Arp up and die on him like this who might know the
remedy?
LET ME KNOW AND THANKS,
Peter
