Sorry... no words of wisdom... just condolances   ;^(

(them puppies are drastically expensive).

Maybe you can grind the rivets flush... then tap for screws when
you re-assemble ???

Have you considered checking with AMP for repair. (hah they will prlly
just tell you buy a new one)

Does Sargent Tools make a crimper that will fit that pin ?  They make a
good line for Molex, and they are about $150  (that's about 30% of the
AMP price afaik).

I got a Molex hand tool... no ratchet etc....  for about $13.  It will
crimp a
wide variety of AMP pins (maybe not so nice and easy, but OK for proto
work).  I KNOW you crimp a billion pins a year...but hey...embrace frequent

breaks and carpal-tunnel syndrome.
