Hi JB, John & rest of DIY'ers, i thought i'd join in on the
roboticsthread, i've been in this scene of interest for some time
now...
Possibilities would ofcourse be LDR's in a room with large
windows with incoming sunlight...
Maybe some kind of module that adapts to the sunlight intensity, but
when a person moves by (e.a. shadow over LDR) the module becomes
alive and produces "chime-like" effects? (basic 'optic' theremin?)
or pressure pads on the floor, like an oversized piano heheh...
Relating to Robotics there's just ONE link i have to point to:
www.beam-online.com
basic critters that react to tactile (on/off) sensory, or analog
LDR, NTC, low current, magnetism, induction, sound, ANYTHING
really...
it introduces Neural Network copyrighted by Mark Tilden, THE a-life
bigboss... this consists of a series of transistors (e.a. analog)
that when activated by an action, react in a natural kind of way,
without forehand programming somewhat...
just do a google search on 'BEAM robotics', and you find your stuff
JB!
;-Z.Z..z.z..z...z.... (goes to bed now)
(sorry harry 4 stealing the smiley idea, better steal good then copy
bad...)
Greetings, Jaco Sloof (The Netherlands)
