[sdiy] A question on the SEM schematic.

I recently posted on my site a modification to make on Oberheim SEMs to
allow running off +/-15 volt supplies instead of the +/-18.5 that Oberheim
used. It was later pointed out to me that I didn't see that the +18.5V was
also routed to the VCOs. I was working off the power supply section of the
schematic (next to the title block) and it showed no other routing of the
+/-18.5 except to be further regulated to +/-15. The problem of doing
theoretical circuit design without doing it in the physical world (and also
not having a lot of chops too). Can anyone tell me why the +18.5 is there
and if the replacement of +15 there would blow anything up. I don't want to
sacrifice a SEM to find out.
