I would second that opinion... Personally, I've found the 2164 to be
extremely easy to work with and almost "Plug n' Play" good performance.

Only problem is waiting for AD to pull the rug out and discontinue the
part.  Anyone know if this is in the works for AD?  

Not too sure about the best way to solve the linear control issue with
the expo controlled 2164...
