[sdiy] MIDI isn't musical : Flame bait?

I'm not going to say that it's the best thing
to happen to electronic music, nor will I say that
it could not be improved or replaced.
I will say that perhaps it's an issue of a poor workman
choosing to blame his tools as opposed to using it
in a manner that is conducive of a better result.
As far as this goes, I don't care much for the miniaturized
keyboards that come with commercial synths either, true
piano size, weighted being my preference. However, if I had
tossed the baby out with the bathwater, I wouldn't have a son.
And I am not a rich man.
There are certainly good ways and bad ways to use anything.
I try to find the best ways, I.e., the ways that do conform
to my needs.
A real artist can make art with the crudest of tools as well
as the most refined.
