It wasn't for a *pot* plant, but for a plant in a hanging pot :)
I actually went to a rather snobby all boys private school called
St.Peter's College. My folks struggled to send me there, and I
really appreciated getting the great education that I did, but I am
very proud of the fact that I have NO friends that I keep in touch
with from that place. Most people had so much money, and so little
sense. I would say about 30% of all students by the final year of
high school were dabbling with expensive drugs (no, not pot either).
Most kids were driving (and pranging) their mummy and daddy's
BMW's, Mercedes, Porches, too...
I used to spend my lunch times hanging out in the music department,
because most of the teachers in there were pretty layed back about
things. I had a room to myself with a Korg M1, Roland R70 drum
machine, a set of expensive B&W speakers, and a new 486/DX2 66
computer (this was 92/93!!). I was just discovering analogue synths
around this time... the school didn't have any hidden in closets sadly :(
Not so much a hippy place to be, more snobby and white powder infested.
The school administration is/was so far up its own ass they fail to see
the problems amoungst their students... drugs, theft etc thrive in that
place.
Sad really :(
ok, back to synth-diy
