[sdiy] Enamel? Powdercoat?

I have access to a company that does powder coat. I recently had 500 pieces
done for MOTM stuff (not panels). They do offer several colors. While they
might not normally want to do small runs, I did find my guy willing to "work
in" pieces. So, if you are happy with a color that one of his regular
customers does use, and are willing to wait until that customer is having
runs done, you can probably get your low count pieces included.

Even on a run of 500, I was able to get about 25% discount by letting my
pieces get "worked in". Instead of their normally turn around of one week,
I had to wait about 2 1/2 weeks. Call local paint shops. You will find
that "wet" paint shops are the ones hard to find. Powdercoat or "dry" paint
is much more common these days.

Sorry, I didn't do it. I had it done. But, the guy that did it does it in
his barn.
