[sdiy] midi cable

I need a bunch of midi cables, but since those are not cheap to buy, I
though I should probably make them myself to save some money to use for more
fun things. Anyone any advice on what would be a good bulk cable to buy
(strong, flexible, black, correct shielding)? I always have a hard time when
looking though a catalog to really imagine what the cable will look like
when I have it in my hands. An allied stock # would be perfect, since I have
to order more stuff there anyway.
