Hello list,
Just went to  the Japanese semiconductor URL given earlier tonight by 
Eric C (thanks Eric!):

	www.bdent.com/index.htm

If you click on "semiconductor specification database" you can download 
pdf's for many parts - including the 2SA798 and 2SC1583 (4 pages of 
specs for each). There is a catch though - you need to register (easy 
enough) and are permitted only 6 downloads/day.
