[sdiy] Soldering problems...

Well folks, without your input and help, it looks like I may have to leave
the synth-diy world for about 9 months... :(

My landlord just told me that I need to stop soldering in my new
apartment... He believes that the lead is getting in the air and making its
way down to the apartment downstairs.  The apartment is rather old and has
lots of lead based paint and such, so he really has had to watch out for
contamination.

He said I have to stop using solder NOW... so what do I do?

Is there an alternative to lead based solder?  What can I do to reassure him
that my soldering isnt putting people at risk?  I didnt think it was that
big of an issue, but he seems to think so...

Can somebody help me out?  I just started 6 TomG modules and was gonna buy a
mini-wave kit sometime soon... :(
