After reading all that post I remember to have a circuit in a book which
does a staircaise from a pulsetrain. It's a german book called "praktizierte
elektronik" by wirsum. Got that one from my father some years ago.
It's was a really simple analog circuit where a cap was charged by the
raising edge of a square wave. As soon as a thresold was reached the cap was
discharged. That circuit should be able to divide a squarewave by all whole
numbers. It will outputs a staircase wave. No idea how that will sound since
I've never tried the circuit.
If anyone is interested I can scan it, but I think the circuit is inaccurate
and jitters around.
Bye,
Nils
