    The CA3280 has lower input noise, and also lower Iabc feedthrough, at least
when you are using the input diodes (to tell you the truth, I have never used
it without the diodes...).  Also, the CA3280 has a bit more bandwidth as well.

    This does not mean that the LM13700 is not useful.  There are some
aplications that I prefer the LM13700 for.

    I use the CA3280 for making VCF's, VCA's, and Envelope Generators.

    I am using LM13700's for the temp compensating element in some VCO's I am
working on (not the same one as in the AppNote/Paia 9720).
