Jim, he said 3.11 - not 3.1

Perhaps if one uses Win32s along with WfW3.11 it might work? Have you tried
that combination already?

In case anyone here doesn't remember, WfW = Windows for Workgroups. It was
version 3.11, and not version 3.1 - which was also a legitimate revision
number, but not quite as capable an OS. Win32s was a Microsoft "patch" to
enable (some) 32-bit software to run on 16-bit Windows, namely on the WfW 3.11
version.
