I am restoring yet another Moog IIIP, and so it occurs to me that all these Model 910 supplies
need an update.
So, what I plan to do is to provide a "hot rod" kit for the 910s. This is what it will have:
a) New controller pcb. It's a "drop in" replacement.
b) New filter cap(s)
c) "Replacements" for the germanium PNP power transistors.
Some soldering/wire cutting/wire stripping is required. The plan is to use the *existing* wiring
harness. Once the supply is out of the cabinet, the whole upgrade process should take less than
45min.
The cost would be around $125. It's a kit. If you want a soldered pcb I could add on like $30
(not that much to solder, really). The advantage is that all the sheet metal and
cables/Cinch-Jones connectors are intact. Yes, a new Power One is cheaper, but this keeps the
original "form factor" and you don't touch the harnesses. Major pain.
If you are interested in such a kit, please email me *off line*.
