I have good news/bad news on the sequencer boards.
First the good news. Just powered up one of the proto boards. At
first, I thought I had a serious problem...turned out to be a
intermittent short in the patch cable. Anyway, the upshot is the board
seems to be as flawless as is humanly posible (i.e. there are no cuts
and jumpers on the board, the silk screen is correct, etc.). The only
fly in the ointment was that I was almost a week later in testing it,
which brings me to the:
Bad News. On Monday, the $#|^ hit the fan at work...not that this
was unexpected. The general manager was given a personal escort to the
front door, and now we have to deal with a corporate @$$#0|& who seems
intent on shutting the place down (despite the fact he says he is there
to get the place back on track). The upshot is, I won't be making a
bulk order of PC boards until things either settle down at work, or I
can land a new job (the job market here is the worst I have ever seen,
just getting an interview is almost imposible).
So anyway, stay tuned.
Oh yes, and by the way...I would like to thank all those who
purchased CA3280's. I still have a few left (75pcs), so anybody who is
waffling still has time to decide.
