[sdiy] DAC0806 vs DAC0808?

    The DAC0806 is linear to 6 bits, the DAC0808 is linear to 8 bits....

    funny you should mention these, I was looking in the latest Jameco catalog
last night...
and they charge more for the DAC0806 than they do the DAC0808....the 06 is
harder to find (no longer made), so I guess they figure they can charge
more...anybody in the know will realize to can sub the DAC0808 into the same
spot...

    I just found a whole tube of the DAC0808's in my junk pile...I am trying
to decide how I can use them.  This is not exactly one of favorite DACs (I
prefer the CMOS multiplying types, they are much more flexible).
