[sdiy] joystick pots

Is there something wrong with MECI? I tried to buy some of those joysticks,
filled out all their formas, and next day got an email from them asking
for my bank name. For some reason they didn't like my credit card and
refused to do any business with me. When I asked why they told me that they
don't deal with international customers.
Then why do they say they do on their webpage? And why they wrote me earlier
that "all international orders are only able to be shipped by US Global
Express Mail".

You can find 150K pot joystick assemblies at meci.com (under
potentiometer:misc) or alltronics.com (under resistors). I bought a couple
through alltronics, but the meci picture looks like maybe the same brand at
a lower price. The plastic mushroomy-looking thumb knob pulls off to expose
a threaded shaft that could take a handle if it had matching threads.
