[sdiy] paia/arp trigger voltage

hi

i am using a paia midi2cv8 to control an arp odyssey. i find that triggered 
notes are much quieter than notes played by the keyboard. i read in the 
archives that the arp wants a 13 volt trigger. i don't know what the paia 
puts out, but i assume this is the problem. there was an allusion to raising 
trigger voltage using a nine volt battery in the archives. can anyone tell 
me how to hook this up? thanks in advance,
