Dear All,

Has anyone analysed the DCO in the Roland Juno 2?

It seems to produce some interesting waveforms - in addition to saw, pulse,
PWM it has various 'chopped' saw and modulated pulse options.

The service notes on the Juno just give the DCO as a single custom device
(Roland's own ?) with address/data input, a 12MHz clock with 6 DCOs
on-board with mixing and level controls.

My thoughts are either a programmable divider with a DAC for waveform
generation (perhaps a multiplying type for amplitude control) or a phase
accumulating oscillator.

Any thoughts, more info etc ?
