This might work in the USA where rooms are overheated to 85degF, but for
anyone in a saner 60degF environment, touching the transistors will heat
them severely (moving them by 30mv say) making a mockery of the measuring
process.
So, out with the styrofoam tipped tongs!
Or, stick them in the styrofoam with some of the leg showing, let tehm
stabalise, and then measure by poking at them, and THEN grab them & stick
into their batch.
