Oh, I agree that this is not a good project for a beginner to build, but
Jimmy is interested in understanding synth concepts and the theory of
design and the Formant manual covers that stuff pretty good

I wouldn't recommedn the Formant to a beginner, it's a nightmare in
terms of
construction....try Tony Allgoods stuff at Oakley Sound Systems..
