hi!
I'm looking for a 2U rack enclosure to house some DIY stuff. I'm
located in the US, so a US supplier would be best...
Now, I've done some searches in the archive, but haven't come up
with much, so it would be nice if I could compile a list of
suppliers/prices/etc and either post it here or pass it along to one of
the main DIY page-holders around these parts...
To start things off, I found that Sescom offers a 2U rack case, 5"
deep, for $41.50. (http://www.sescom.com/enclosures/rack_chassis.html)
Their "heavy-duty" cases start out at $140 for a 7" deep case, and are a
bit out of my reach :)
They offer blank, anodized aluminum rack panels starting at $10.00
for a 1U panel, as well.
If anyone has tips (even ebay wholesalers who frequently sell this
sort of thing would be great) please do chip in, I've been wanting to rack
mount a bunch of my stuff for a while, and want something a bit
sturdier/nicer than a Fracrak.
thanks!
andy
