Dear all,

I received my Chameleon yesterday, and I speant most of the evenign
playing with it.
I have to say Im VERY impressed.. First thing to say, this isnt an advert ,
I dont work for them, this is my opinion.. Also it *IS* SynthDIY related as
you can create/develop your own Synth engine...

I downloaded the ReBorn (808/909/2*TB303 emulation) and was stunned by the
sounds..

I loaded in a modified version of the Monosynth and was equally impressed,
it needs a few extras (modwheel->LFO depth and Note buffer) but hey, this is
an open source peice of code and I have the SDK so I can add these myself...
I then reloaded the 'Australis' polysynth, with no efforts via MidiSysEx
(one thing I was never keen on) and it worked perfectly...

Overall I'm very impressed with the australis synth that comes in it, The
added bonus of the SDK and development environment (along with debug
interface) is just superb!!

As much as I hate to admit it, I'm becomming a convert to the dark side of
SynthDIY, and begining to quite enjoy the programming and Flexability
offered by the DSP..

The Chameleon SDK I installed a week ago, and its taken me a while to get
my head around how it works, but I think I have it now :-)

Overall, anyone who has some C knowledge and wants to get into DSP (though
the DSP programming is best done in ASM, the Coldfire programming is done in
C) this is a superb system... I expect it will take me about a year before I
have anything to show for my efforts at programming, but its going to be a
fun year..

Well done to the people at soundart!
