Yo,

That might make a good module: an LFO with
'Humanizer'. Vary amp & freq randomly. Maybe a gate
driven thingie that gives a random amplitude modifier
for each gate. I had already thought of making a
vibrato module that would be a delayed ramp+lfo combo;
perhaps the Humanizer could be part of that...

Aha! So that is what you need a VCADSR for!
