Well a nice 2 VCO monosynth could be made with:

(1) MIDI-> CV Unit
(2) VCO
(1) Mixer
(1) VCF
(1) VCA
(2) EG
(2) LFO

and you could mix and match between makers to pick your favorite filter,
VCO, etc.  Then afterwars add on other modules like: different filter
types, sequencers, envelope followers, gate logic, more VCOs, etc.

Or, you could start using it as an effect rack with filters, VCAs, LFOs and
EGs... then add "time machines" and ring modulators and other fun modules.

Really depends on what you want to use it for.
