[sdiy] Bypass caps: Tantalum or Ceramic?

If I have to use or replace tants, I prefer to use the creamy 
yellow coloured ones - if they fail, they often darken slightly, 
making fault finding easier.

Their biggest disadvantage IMHO is that they can turn
a minor power supply fault into a write-off.  And they're
hideously expensive.  OTOH, ten years later you don't
have to search for the electrolytic that's gone high ELZ.
