Yeah I was talking about a different peddle. CE-2 in fact. We're talking 
plug pack here not built in mains. I guess the stereo version of this was 
the CE-3 perhaps? It's probably the same basic circus though. Why change 
something that works?

It should be noted that a lot of Roland post 1980 synths' character was 
enhanced mainly by the use of an internal chorus unit. I found for example, 
that the Juno 106 was far more anaemic than a DX when the chorus was kicked 
out.

One of the things that happens in a BBD based chorus as opposed to a 
digital one is that there is some top end loss due to the filtering. This 
doesn't happen in a digital version (Unless it's really crap) so perhaps 
slapping a bit of a low pass filter on the end might go some way to making 
it a bit warmer. Indeed I had always noticed with a DX that by smoothing 
off the top end a bit, it sounded far more full and ballsy. Of course you 
could always run it through a valve stage. Now there's an idea! :)
