I've had the opposite experience.  I've used these for years, the same
set of 3, actually, at one time I had a 4 voice uC controlled synth on it
working perfectly.  All TTL.  I've built VCOs, VCFs, waveshapers and you
name it.  Stuff that didn't work was my fault, crap design most often.  I
usually figure out why.  So I like 'em.  I've recorded tracks using
equipment built on a SBB.  There's stripboard laid out like a SBB brick,
so the circuit is easy to move to that medium.

I may not do BBDs, but I do SBBs.
