I've heard that there are only two countries that have not adopted the
metric system; the US and... can you guess?... Burma.

And as fine a system of measurement that the metric system is, you're
going to be hard pressed to find any great song lyrics or poetry that
refer to metric units.  It's damned difficult; working with either the
rhyme or the rhythm is an exercise in torture.

Perhaps this is the real reason we haven't changed over.  :-)
