I've got a 480 my self too, it's pretty, did you know that with system exclusive midi you can acess square, half sine, and I think triangle waves as well? I think you can also control it's response to modulation... you should be able to download the manual, and there are editing programs for it on Atari, if you don't have an atari you could just use them through a emulator on your PC...

I've heard of people adding midi to casio SK1s by connecting a microcontroler to that it triggers the keyboard input... so the key board just thinks you'r playing the keys...
