Odp: Odp: [sdiy] More ground questions

But jack ground is never connected with circuit
ground at any module. They both meet at power
supply only. If there's no source of current flow
in jack's ground network besides RF pickup,
it shouldn't affect the signal. Am I right?

Breaking cable shield on one end seems to be easy
solution to all ground problem. However sometimes
I like to use a patchcord to connet to some output
device, being at the moment MSP5 standing on top
of modular case. I'm sure I'd be pissed off why all
I get is hum in the speaker, not remembering which
cable has one-ended shield.
