[sdiy] Dead O-scope

My scope died today. It used to make a whining darkstar chaos generator sound 
until it warmed up (or that was my reasoning for the sound). When I turned it 
on today it did the same thing and then when the whining went away, so did 
the trace! I did notice that as soon as the sound cut out (it was sudden and 
out of the norm) the power led dimmed out and then came back up again. i had 
problems in the past with the power cord getting loose and the power going 
out on the unit and perhaps this happened again or did damage in the past. i 
don't know. i can't help think that the guy i got it used from might have 
jimmy rigged it so it would run long enough for the guarantee to be over 
with. Maybe there is an easy fix to this. Probably not....
