Ah shuckins. Seems I didn't give the truth table of the 4516 a close enough
look when I dreamt up this sequencer. Carry In Prime, which serves as my
Hold function has no effect if the 4516 is told to accept presets, which is
the method I'm using to do the the random order sequencing. It holds just
fine when it's running forward, backward or as a pendulum, but its TT is
telling it not to stop when I'm in random. Might be able to fix this with a
little mechanical switching logic, might have to slap in a little more
boolean.
BTW, my random is too much on the pseudo side and not enoughon the random
side. I need to VC the frequency of the 555 i think which is generating the
40kHz binary presets into the 4516 so it runs herky jerky and not free
running. this should significantly decrease the patterns that are forming
every then and again now.
You guys never said this stuff wouldn't work perfectly! this is NOT FAIR.
