[sdiy] IC speed terminology

Hello,

What are the speeds indicated by the following suffixes (suffices?):

'-10' and '-14' in Intel nomenclature;
'-4S' in MHS (Matra Design Semiconductor) nomenclature.

All I know is that with MHS chips, '-3' and '-4' indicate speeds of
10 and 11 MHz. Is there something like a catalog or dictionary about
this?

Seems quite off topic, but the chips I need to identify are used for
the Buchla 700 system graphics display...
