I think all of your emails inspired me!  I swapped out
the klunky old CA3130 opamp in the integrator with a
OPA602. Fixed it!  Yay!

Morals of this story:

1) Don't ever give up
2) 35 year old opamp designs may not be as good as new
ones
3) Be a member of this list!!
