[sdiy] Admin msg: Off-topic subjects (poll)

Dear list,

One of the difficult subjects in maintaining a mailing list is
if/how/when to deal with off-topic subjects. Personally I'm not
at all against off-topic chats, but I also know that many people
do take offense if a mailing list they like contains too much
"social" talk, especially on a a dry engineering list as synth-diy.
That is why I would like to ask you, the list memebers, what you 
think.

IF you think there is, or is not at all, too much "chatting" on 
synth-diy,  please let me know PRIVATELY, OFF-LIST.

What I could do if you, the list members, think there is too much
talk, is create a second list "synth-diy-chat" or "synth-diy-talk"
where non-tech discussions could take place. If you think things are
fine as they are now, please let me know too.
