It seems to be going around...I am hoping to at least temporaily
solve my cash flow problems this week, although, I heard a rumor that
the company that is a major customer of the one I am signing with is

The basic part of the VCO is actually pretty good (this is basically
the same VCO core as as the ASM-1). I have been messing around with
this circuit quite a bit. Although, it is mostly to test the various
designs I am trying for NO-TEMPCO exponential converters. With a CA3046
for the expoconverter, I have been getting conformity of about +/- 2
cents.
I have never tried the expo converter that is in the Chaimberlin
book (exactly as drawn...it is a pretty standard one).
