I have gotten two letters in the years since I put up the DIY Archive,
one was from some PCB CAD software company asking me to remove their free
cad program. No big loss as far as I was concerned.
The other letter was from none other than Bernie Hutchins who trolled
through and found one of the Electronotes scans (and no, I wasn't aware
of what it was).
As for the big manufacturers, I'm quite suprised that none of them
have complained, but I think as long as we stick with products that have
been long since defunct, then it's not really a problem. No, it's not
legal, but I'm sure it does save them some issues about people asking for
manuals. And in some cases, such as Korg, they just plain don't HAVE
some of the documents any more, so the only way to get them is by finding
a copy or by downloading a scan.

   Cheers,

   Tony
