Depending on where you live, you could also try this:
Call the schools close to where you live and ask their physics departements if they have anything to sell to you. Scopes aren't used that much in the education nowadays, and they need some cash handy to buy batteries and stuff. I got my Hameg HM203-5 for $40 this way, after only three or four phonecalls.
