Thanks, but I've tried a desolder station for my particular application,
and decided that it's worth 1000x the expense.  Besides, it's tax
deductible, so that makes it only 600x the expense. ;)

I'm not talking whole boards - I'm talking one chip, lots of boards.

I searched the archives and found lots of discussion of using wicks,
bulbs, suckers, blow torches, heat guns, etc., but that's really not what
I'm interested in.  Nothing on desolder/rework stations, though.
