Hi John,
This book is, so far, the most thorough book on analog synthesis I've
ever seen - so that doesn't mean there isn't something better out
there... I've just never seen it. Used copies have been going for $75
USD!
No, there are basically no schematics or direct info on building or
designing systems. However, it goes into such depth of application that
it will definately give you ideas. Many of my designs have been
affected by this book. It has LOADS of detail on how modules/systems
work, interact, and relate to music theory. For $30.00 or whatever it
is they're asking, I'd consider it a must have book (I'm sure someone
will back me up on this). If you think you know everything about synths
and application, you'll probably still learn something. Plus the
pictures of classis modules and scores are great!
It's original copyright is 1972 so it deals entirely with analog.
Buck
