Bear in mind televisions generate lethal voltages, NEVER work on line
operated equipment while it is plugged in.
That is very easy to do for an old black and white TV. Just remove the yoke
(deflection coils) from the back of the tube, but leave it connected. Place
another yoke over the back of the tube and drive it with two channels of a
stereo amplifier. The yoke have an impedance of 8-16 ohms and looks just
like a speaker to the amp.
